The Turkish company Imas has been among the top 250 R&D leaders since 2015 and in the Top 10 R&D leaders of Turkish machinery in all industry segments.
Imas takes a leading position in the digital transformation of the industry with its acceptance into the Artificial Intelligence Ecosystem Development Program of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey.
The Imas R&D and engineering team developed a polymer core structure using polymer composites for roll mills as an alternative to the widely used steel or cast iron.
The polymer base structure has 10 times the vibration damping ability of cast iron and 20 times the strength of steel, providing higher operational reliability and extended long-term durability of the roll mills, the company said.
With this innovation, Imas also received the "2023 Product Showcase" award during the 2023 International Association of Processors Exhibition and Conference in Minnesota, USA.
"At Imas, our team works with the passion to create value for our company, country and industry," said Mustafa Özdemir, the company's general manager. “I believe this synergy is the main driving factor behind our success. Today we feel very happy and proud to be the Export Leader of the Year in our sector.
Thanks to our capacity and power in production, experienced team as well as hard work, we have been able to fulfill many new orders and report growth in grain exports for the year. And now we have overtaken all other Turkish producers in both grain exports and feed production machinery exports. I would like to once again thank the entire team as well as our esteemed business partners in different parts of the world for their valuable participation in this tremendous achievement.”
