Russia announced a record in exports

Русия обяви рекорд в експорта

Russia became the fourth country in the world for exporting agricultural products, with revenues reaching 43.5 billion dollars.

"We became the fourth country in the world in terms of agricultural exports and the first country in the world in terms of wheat. Export income reached 43.5 billion dollars. The volume increased 30 times - not just by some percentage," said President Vladimir Putin.

"If they had said in 2000 that we would have 43.5 billion in export revenue, no one would have believed it, it seemed like some kind of fantasy. But these are the realities today," stressed Putin.

He recalled that in 2022, 157 million tons of grain were exported, and in 2023 - 147 million tons. According to him, Russian grain exports could reach 65 million tons in the 2023-2024 agricultural year.

The President assured that he would support any decision by the government on diesel prices to meet the needs of farmers this year. "Such a decision must be made in a timely manner," Putin said.

He believes that Russia is almost no longer dependent on food imports. “So much has been achieved in the agro-industrial sector in recent years. Dependence on imports in 2000 was almost for all major components and directions in terms of providing the country with food. Such dependence does not actually exist at the moment," the head of state added.
